Senior Compliance Administrator

• Analysing new instructions with a thorough understanding of the sources of client / matter risks, demonstrating the ability to evaluate those risks and implement necessary mitigating controls.
• Producing detailed and concise risk assessments for all client types, highlighting all pertinent factors.
• Understanding of the CDD requirements for each client type and engage with clients and stakeholders to obtain the necessary CDD.
• Providing training to more junior team members.
• Participating in various compliance-related projects and contribute ideas for improvements or alternative approaches.
• Reviewing CDD already held to ensure that it aligns with our compliance policies and procedures.
• Liaising with members of the firm and clients to obtain refreshed CDD, where necessary.
• Undertaking open-source searches via independent intelligence databases for all relevant parties to a matter and taking appropriate actions driven by the search results in line with company policies and procedures.
• Updating our data management systems accurately to allow for ongoing sanctions screening.
• Ensuring that the electronic filing system is maintained correctly, including maintaining the central database for the storing of CDD assessing client risk and escalating to senior compliance and management, where necessary.
• A minimum of 2 – 4 years’ experience within a CDD / anti-money laundering role.
• Excellent academic credentials.
• Graduate level preferred.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft applications, particularly Excel and Word.
• Experience with Viewpoint / Intapp would be advantageous.
