CFO

The purpose of the role is to oversee all aspects of financial management for the business, including investment and banking operations. The CFO will propose investment strategies, control and evaluate cash flow and capital structure, and prepare financial reports to assist with strategic decision-making.
The successful incumbent will be responsible for financial planning, budgeting, risk management, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Additional responsibilities include leadership of the finance team, management of vendor relationships, and governance of KPI’s, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives. Excellent leadership and communication skills along with strong commercial acumen are essential for presenting financial plans to the board and executive leadership team.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as CFO, finance officer or relevant role (banking institution experience preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or relevant field. Masters/MBA is a plus.
- Professional accounting designation (i.e., CPA).
- In depth knowledge of corporate financial law, banking, and risk management practices.
- Experience with CIMA capital adequacy and liquidity requirements and reporting.
- Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software.
- Ability to strategize and solve problems.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers.
