Senior In-House Legal Counsel (Fintech)

We are seeking a Senior In-House Legal Counsel to join our market leading, multinational fintech client. The purpose of the role is to manage legal disputes, complaints, and investigations involving business partners and stakeholders. The successful incumbent will lead investigations by working with internal teams and third parties to gather evidence and analyze findings, while also staying updated on industry regulations and legal developments. You will also prepare detailed reports, represent the company in legal proceedings (managing litigation outcomes when necessary), and play a vital role in safeguarding company reputation and integrity.

Requirements:

• University degree in law with at least ten (10) years of experience in a corporate legal environment.
• Strong understanding of legislative and regulatory developments in the fintech industry.
• Awareness of risk assessment skills and competence in offering data-oriented legal guidance.
• Expertise in complex technological and financial systems and their interactions with law.
• Attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work on multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Strategic thinking with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent spoken and written English communication skills to communicate complex legal concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
