• Drafting and proof-reading legal documentation and reports making amendments as necessary
• Typing correspondence and legal paperwork
• Responding to internal and external telephone enquiries
• Maintaining calendars and schedules
• Managing files and the completion of documents
• Completing company searches and conflict checks
• Filing and recordkeeping
• Creating and formatting presentations and reports as required in accordance with brand guidelines
• Organising travel arrangements
• Arranging and assisting with marketing/client events
• Invoice processing
• Performing everyday secretarial duties
• Adding partner and fee earner contacts and ensuring data is up-to-date to include accurate profiling of contacts
• Adding partner and fee earner marketing & business development (M&BD) activities to their contacts list
• Arrange the opening, closing and archiving of accounts and files
• At least 5 years’ experience in a senior secretarial role, including experience in a legal environment and familiarity with legal documentation and terminology
• Experience with electronic document management systems such as iManage, client management systems and Microsoft office applications
• Good writing and proofreading skills and excellent attention to detail
• Prior experience in preparing complex and properly formatted documents
• The ability to work with minimal supervision and be committed to providing a high level of client service
• A team oriented and flexible approach to working in a fast-paced environment
